Waalum Park

If you live in Mount Coolum, you probably already know this one — a quiet little park backing onto bushland where you can actually hear yourself think. The open grass field is generous enough for a kick of the footy, and the shade trees make the picnic tables genuinely usable even on a hot Queensland afternoon. Parents get good sightlines across the whole space, which makes it easy to relax rather than chase. The walking path connects nicely to the surrounding trails if you want to stretch the visit out a bit.
