One of the better family spots on this side of Logan, Tygum Park has a solid setup — slides, swings, and a climbing structure that keeps the 2-to-12 crowd busy long enough for the adults to actually eat their lunch. The BBQ area and picnic tables make it genuinely easy to do a proper afternoon here rather than just a quick stop. Shade trees and covered seating mean it’s not a sweat-fest even in summer, which honestly matters a lot out this way. Tygum Lagoon is right nearby, so there’s a nice walk around the water to extend the outing once the kids have burned off some energy. Parking, toilets, good sightlines — it’s the kind of place locals keep coming back to because it just works.
