Cutheringa Park Playground

West End’s not exactly overflowing with playgrounds that tick every box for little kids, but Cutheringa Park does a solid job. The play area is fenced, which makes a huge difference when you’ve got toddlers who think running onto grass is a sport, and the shade trees actually do enough work that you’re not cooking on a summer afternoon. There’s a good mix of equipment — slides, swings, a seesaw, climbing structure, and a sandbox — so primary schoolers and younger kids both find something to get into. The basketball court and open grass field mean older siblings or parents can kick a ball around while the little ones do their thing. Parking’s easy enough too, which in West End is honestly worth mentioning.
