Roy Amer Reserve has a decent little setup for the under-8 crowd — trampoline, merry-go-round, climbing ropes, and swings keep the little ones genuinely entertained. The lake nearby is a nice touch, and there’s a soccer goal if the older kids need somewhere to kick a ball. That said, the fencing is only partial, which is worth knowing before you bring a runner — the lake proximity makes you want a bit more of a barrier than what’s actually there. Equipment looks to have had some updates, though the slides have had their share of complaints from locals. Fine for a casual afternoon out, just go in with eyes open.
