Oaklands Estate Reserve

If you’re after somewhere to slow down for a couple of hours, this place genuinely delivers. The pond draws a solid crowd of ducks year-round, and kids who couldn’t care less about playground equipment will happily spend the whole visit chasing them around the water’s edge. There’s a decent bike track and walking path that loops through the reserve, good shade from the established trees, and the BBQ and picnic setup means you can actually make a proper afternoon of it. It’s the kind of spot that doesn’t shout about itself — quiet street, mostly locals, not overrun on weekends.
