Memorial Playground

Locals in Prospect know this one well, and for good reason — it’s the kind of park you actually stay at for a few hours rather than just passing through. The climbing structure and sandbox keep kids busy, and the whole thing is fully enclosed so you’re not constantly doing head counts. Shade trees and covered seating mean it’s genuinely usable even on a hot SA afternoon, which not every playground around here can claim. There’s a soccer field and open grass for older kids, plus BBQ facilities and picnic tables if you want to make a proper afternoon of it. Parking, toilets, good visibility — it’s just a well-sorted spot that works for everyone from toddlers to grandparents.
