Horwood Avenue Playground

Down in Rostrevor near the trails and water, this one’s a solid pick for families with little kids. The enclosed play area means you’re not constantly chasing toddlers, and the shade trees actually do their job on a hot day — grab one of the picnic tables and you’re set for a decent stretch. There’s musical equipment the 2–5 year olds go absolutely feral for, plus older kids can kick a ball around on the grass or soccer field while you watch from the benches. The walking path loops things together nicely if you want to stretch your legs before or after.
