If you’ve got a toddler in tow, this little fenced playground at Walkerville Oval is worth knowing about. The equipment is newer — slides, swings, a climbing structure — and it’s all scaled well for little kids who aren’t quite ready for the big stuff. Shade sails do a decent job of keeping things bearable in summer, and there’s seating nearby so you’re not just standing around. The oval out back gives older siblings somewhere to kick a ball while you’re keeping an eye on the younger ones. Parking’s easy, the fence means you’re not constantly chasing anyone, and visibility is good throughout — it’s a relaxed spot that does exactly what it needs to.
