Handy little spot if you’re coming off the train at Ashfield station — the reserve is basically right there, which makes it easy for local families to duck in without much effort. The swings are the real drawcard here, with a decent variety including a circular hanging spinner that the younger kids tend to go absolutely feral for. There’s rubber matting underfoot, shade trees, picnic tables, and toilets on site, so you’ve got the basics covered. The soccer fields next door mean older siblings or parents can kick a ball around while the little ones do their thing. It’s not the flashiest playground in the area, honestly, but for a quick after-school visit or a stop-off from the station, it does the job.
