Gibbney Reserve Playground

Gibbney Reserve is one of those spots in Maylands that locals keep coming back to because it just works well. The playground is solid — slides, swings, wood chip base — and the whole setup makes it easy to keep an eye on the kids without hovering. Beyond the play equipment there’s a proper soccer field and a big open grass area where kids can burn off some serious energy. The walking path loops around nicely, and there’s adult exercise equipment if you want to make a morning of it. It’s well-maintained, which honestly isn’t something you can say about every reserve in the area.
