Shearwater / Spoonbill Reserve Playground

One of those spots locals keep to themselves — a compact little playground tucked into genuinely lovely parkland right near the lake. The equipment is basic (slides and swings) but it’s well set up for families, with shade sails doing serious work on hot Perth days, plus BBQ facilities and plenty of seating if you’re making an afternoon of it. Parents can keep an easy eye on the kids from the benches without hovering. The open grass and walking path give older kids room to roam, and the whole reserve has a calm, neighbourhood feel that’s hard to find.
