The shade here is genuinely good — the trees are big and established, so even on a warm Perth day it stays pretty comfortable. Kids aged around 2 to 12 get good mileage out of the climbing structure and slides, and the bike track keeps the older ones busy while younger siblings do their thing. Pack a lunch or fire up one of the BBQs, because the picnic setup is solid and there’s no reason to rush off. It backs onto trails and bushland, which gives the whole place a bit of a relaxed, leafy feel that you don’t always get from suburban parks. There’s a cafe nearby too if you’ve forgotten snacks — which, let’s be honest, happens.
