If you’re already out on Silver Skagit Road heading toward Ross Lake, this spot is worth a stop. The forest comes right up to the edges and the whole area has that deep-woods quiet that’s hard to find closer to town. It’s the kind of place where the setting does most of the heavy lifting — Ladder Creek Falls is nearby and the lake views don’t disappoint. Good option if you’re camping in the area and the kids need to burn some energy before dinner.
