Hanover Park

The play structure here is noticeably taller and newer than what you’ll find at most parks in Russell — clearly built with older kids in mind, not toddlers who need hand-holding. There’s a solid swing set too, which always seems to have takers. Shade trees and covered seating make it genuinely comfortable for parents to hang around without roasting in the summer heat. Being close to the forest trails gives it a calm, tucked-away feel that keeps the crowd light. Honestly one of the better spots in the area if your kid is past the sandbox stage.
