Ballydehob’s little playground punches above its weight for such a small village. The climbing frames are genuinely solid — not the flimsy stuff you see in some rural spots — and everything is kept in really good nick, which you notice straight away. There’s a decent open grass field for kids who need to burn off energy between goes on the slides and swings, and the benches mean parents can actually sit down properly rather than hovering. Parking is handy, and with the forest trails close by you can easily stretch the visit into a proper afternoon out.
