Union Hall Playground

Small but well set up, this playground in the heart of Unionhall punches above its weight for such a quiet little village. The kids have slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a sandbox to keep them going, which covers most ages from toddlers right up to around ten. The whole thing is enclosed, so younger ones can’t wander, and the benches mean you can actually sit and relax rather than hovering the whole time. There’s an open grass field alongside it too, handy when older ones need more room to burn off energy. It’s the kind of spot locals use regularly — nothing flashy, just a solid, safe place to bring the kids on a day out in West Cork.
