Right on the harbour’s edge, this is one of those spots where the kids can wear themselves out on the climbing frame and slides while you’re actually looking at the sea — not a car park. The sandbox keeps the younger ones busy, and the picnic tables are genuinely useful rather than just tacked on as an afterthought. Everything here is well kept, which isn’t something you can say about every council playground in the county. Toilets and parking on-site make it easy for a half-day out, and once they’re done playing you can walk straight down to the beach without getting back in the car. Best for kids 7 and up who want a bit of a challenge on the climbing structure.
