Doughiska playground

This one’s a proper gem if you’re based on the east side of Galway — the zipline alone makes it worth the trip for kids under ten. There’s a real woodland, hobbit-y atmosphere to it, with the forest trails nearby adding something you don’t get at your average urban playground. The climbing structure keeps older ones busy while younger kids get stuck into the sandbox, and the whole area is fully enclosed so you’re not constantly doing headcounts. Throw in a BBQ area with decent shade from the trees and you’ve got yourself an easy few hours on a good day.
