If you’ve got kids in that 2-9 window, Karibu is honestly one of the better ways to spend a few hours out near Maddenstown. The enclosed play area ticks the basics — slides, swings, picnic tables — and the open grass field gives them somewhere to properly burn off energy. What makes it worth the trip though is the animals and the fact that James and the staff actually take time with the kids, which you don’t always get at places like this. Parents can keep an eye on everything easily, and the whole setup feels relaxed rather than rushed. Good value for what you’re getting, and the parking situation is stress-free.
