Rathdowney’s got a proper setup here — the castle and fort theme makes it feel like more than just your average few swings and a slide. Kids aged 2 to 10 are well catered for, with a zipline that always draws a queue, a merry-go-round, climbing structure, sandbox, and enough variety that they’re not bored after ten minutes. The basketball court and soccer field mean older ones or parents can actually do something useful while the smaller kids tire themselves out. There’s parking right there and decent shade trees, which you’ll appreciate on a warm day. It’s kept in good nick too — one of the better maintained spots in the county, honestly.
