If you’re after somewhere the kids can actually run without dodging crowds, this spot in Mote Park is worth knowing about. It’s pretty stripped back — no elaborate equipment — but that open grass field is genuinely great for a kickabout or just letting smaller ones tear around. The surrounding parkland does a lot of the heavy lifting, with plenty of nature to poke around in. Roscommon doesn’t always get the credit it deserves for quiet green spaces like this, and honestly it’s the kind of place locals tend to keep to themselves.
