If you’re heading out to Russborough anyway, the playground is worth factoring into the plan — especially if you’ve got kids who’ll lose interest in the art collection about four minutes in. There’s a solid climbing structure, slides, and swings that keep the 2-to-12 crowd genuinely busy while parents can actually sit at the picnic tables and see everything without hovering. The open grass field gives older kids room to run, and the trails nearby mean you can stretch the visit into a proper half-day out. It’s a good one for mixing a bit of fresh air and forest with a historic day trip — Co. Wicklow does this kind of combo well.
