Panmure Basin

The Basin is one of those spots locals keep coming back to without really thinking about why — then you remember it’s a flat 3km loop around a lagoon, there are clean restrooms, parking that actually works, and a kids’ train that runs on Sundays and causes genuine excitement. The paved path is smooth enough for bikes, strollers, and wheelchairs, so pretty much everyone can do the full loop without drama. There’s something genuinely nice about the artistic bridge and the water views — it doesn’t feel like just another urban park. Good for a casual Sunday morning or when you want to burn off some energy without driving far.
