Tahaki Reserve Playground

The play train is the star here — little kids absolutely lose it for that thing, and honestly it never gets old to watch. Beyond that, there’s a solid mix of equipment covering most age groups from toddlers through to about 12, including a zipline that always has a queue on weekends. The shade trees do actual work on hot Auckland days, which you can’t say for every local playground. It’s right near Mount Eden so you can tack on a walk if the kids still have energy left, and parking is easy enough that you won’t spend half your visit circling the block.
