Orere Point Beach Reserve Playground

If you’re heading down to Ōrere Point anyway, this little reserve is worth stopping at. The playground sits right next to the beach, so the kids can bounce between the equipment and the sand without you having to pack up and move. It’s pretty relaxed out here — not a flash setup, but that’s kind of the point. Toilets on site make it a solid pitstop, especially if you’re doing the drive with younger ones. Good for ages 2 to 12, and honestly a decent excuse to linger longer than you planned.
