Paerata Playground & Splashpad

The splashpad here is genuinely one of the better ones in the area — kids go absolutely feral for it, which is exactly what you want on a hot Auckland day. Toddlers do really well here too, nothing too intense or overwhelming for the little ones. There’s a cafe close by, so parents can grab a coffee or a bite without losing sight of the kids for a second. It’s the kind of spot where you can actually relax instead of spending the whole visit hovering. Worth making the drive out to Paerata if you’ve got kids in that 2-12 range.
