Point Wells Playground

Down at the tip of the Matakana Coast, this little community playground punches above its weight for such a quiet spot. Kids aged 3 to 10 have plenty to keep them busy — swings, a tire swing, a merry-go-round, climbing structure, and a couple of slides. The shade trees actually do their job on hot summer days, and the benches are positioned well so parents can keep an eye on things without hovering. There’s an open grass field alongside if your lot needs to burn off extra energy, and parking is easy enough that you won’t dread the trip.
