Two rope swings and a slide go straight into the river, which runs cool and deep enough to actually swim in properly. Kids love it, but honestly adults are just as keen once the sun’s been out for a bit. It’s the kind of place people in Ōpōtiki just show up to on a hot afternoon without making a big deal of it.
