Right in the middle of Te Puke, this playground punches above its weight for a town this size. The littles are sorted with swings, a merry-go-round, and slides, while older kids gravitate toward the basketball court and open grass for whatever game they’ve invented that week. Those big old trees do a proper job of keeping the picnic tables and seating shaded, which you’ll appreciate on a hot Bay of Plenty afternoon. It’s the kind of place where you can chuck the sausages on the BBQ and actually relax while the kids sort themselves out across the age groups. Handy to the shops too, so easy to tack onto a Saturday errand run.
