Omarama’s little playground punches above its weight for such a quiet spot — the slides are genuinely good fun, sized well enough that older kids won’t feel like they’ve outgrown them. There’s a sandpit for the younger ones to lose themselves in, plus a bike pump track that tends to keep the bigger kids occupied for way longer than you’d expect. It backs onto a peaceful neighborhood with trails and the lake nearby, so it’s easy to make a whole afternoon of it. Bring a ball too — the basketball court gets used but rarely feels crowded out here.
