Caroline Bay Playground

Right on the waterfront at Caroline Bay, this playground is one of those spots locals keep coming back to all summer long. The beach is practically steps away, so kids can bounce between the playground and the sand without anyone having to walk far. It’s set up well for accessibility, which makes it genuinely usable for more families than a lot of other playgrounds around Timaru. Honestly, it’s hard to beat the combo of sea air, open space, and a decent play area all in one spot.
