Anzac Park Playground

Locals know this riverside spot is one of the better places in Gisborne to actually relax while the kids do their thing. The shade trees are proper old-growth — you’re not squinting into the sun while pushing someone on the swings. There are slides and swings for the little ones, a BBQ area that gets good use on weekends, and enough open grass for the older kids to kick a ball around. Parking is easy, the walking path along the river is a nice bonus, and the whole place has that unhurried vibe that makes you want to stay longer than planned.
