Middle Earth Adventure Park

If you’re anywhere near Waitārere Beach, this place is worth going out of your way for. The handmade climbing structures and zipline feel like they actually belong here, tucked up against the forest rather than just dropped into a paddock. Kids between 2 and 12 will find plenty to keep them busy — swings, climbing frames, and enough open grass to burn off whatever energy’s left after the zipline. There’s shaded seating and picnic tables, so you can actually sit down and watch them instead of hovering the whole time. The trail access nearby makes it easy to tack on a short walk if the little ones aren’t ready to leave.
