Papatowai playground

Papatowai is one of those tiny South Otago spots most people drive straight through, but the playground here is worth a stop. The air down this way is genuinely clean — you notice it immediately, especially coming from further north. Kids can run around while the adults decompress, and there are birds everywhere, which honestly adds to the whole thing more than you’d expect. It’s simple, but that’s kind of the point.
