Livingstonia Park

Taieri Beach doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic, which is honestly what makes this park so good — you’re not fighting for a picnic table or waiting your turn at the BBQ. Kids aged roughly 2 to 8 will be happy here for hours, especially with the bike track and open grass to tear around on. When everyone’s done, the beach is right there. Restrooms and parking on-site mean you’re not scrambling, and during holidays and Sundays a coffee cart sometimes shows up, which feels like a genuine bonus rather than something you’d expect. Low-key, local, and easy — it’s the kind of place you come back to every summer without really thinking about it.
