Lake Waihola Playground

Right on the edge of Lake Waihola, this playground is a solid stop if you’re passing through on the way to Dunedin or just doing the loop around the lake. The equipment is relatively new and gives kids plenty to keep them busy while you actually get to sit down on a bench and stare out at the water for five minutes — honestly, not a bad deal. Parking is easy, which matters more than people admit when you’ve got kids to unload.
