Locals have known about this one for a while, and it’s the kind of spot you end up at most weekends once you discover it. The playground covers all ages properly — not just a token swing for the toddlers — and the BBQ and picnic setup near the shaded seating makes it genuinely easy to spend a few hours here. There’s a walking path that winds through the trees toward the water, which is worth doing even just for a lap while the kids burn off energy. Restrooms and parking are sorted, so no stress on that front. It’s on the quieter side for Hamilton, which is honestly half the appeal.
