Lakeside Playground

Right on the edge of the lake, this little playground has one of the better outlooks you’ll find in Te Kauwhata. It’s a simple setup, but the location does a lot of the heavy lifting — there’s something pretty relaxed about watching the kids play with open water in the background. The Lakeside Cafe & Restaurant is just nearby, which makes it easy to grab a coffee or lunch without going far. Worth knowing it’s not wheelchair accessible, so keep that in mind if needed. A solid spot for a low-key afternoon out.
