Te Kapua Park Playground

This one’s a bit of a gem for Tūrangi locals — a newer playground that actually feels like someone put some thought into it. The water play is the real drawcard: kids lose track of time messing around with the mini river, dams, and spray poles, especially on a warm day. Wooden logs with carved steps give it that natural feel without looking like every other cookie-cutter playground in the region. It’s fully enclosed, so parents can actually relax while keeping an eye on things, and the slides and tunnels keep the 5–12 crowd busy long enough for you to finish a coffee.
