Brickfields Country Park

Tucked into the middle of Aldershot, this little park punches well above its weight. The pond is the real draw — ducks, geese, the occasional heron if you’re lucky — and it’s the kind of spot where you actually want to slow down for a bit. There’s a climbing structure for the kids, plenty of benches and picnic tables if you want to make an afternoon of it, and the walking path loops around nicely without being too demanding. Dogs are absolutely welcome here and you’ll see plenty of them on any given morning. Parking’s easy, the atmosphere is genuinely calm, and it’s the sort of place locals are quietly glad hasn’t been overdeveloped.
