Hirst Park Play Area

Hirst Park has had a proper glow-up in recent years, and locals have definitely noticed. The splash park is the main draw on warm days — kids absolutely love it, and the swings keep the younger ones happy when the water’s off. There’s decent seating dotted around so parents can actually relax while keeping an eye on things, plus picnic tables if you fancy making a proper afternoon of it. The Jack Charlton statue gives the place a bit of heart, a nice nod to local pride right in the middle of an urban park.
