Hadleigh Park

If you’re local and haven’t made it out here yet, you’re genuinely missing out. The mountain biking trails are the main draw — there’s something for beginners and people who actually know what they’re doing — but plenty of families just come for the walking paths and the open grass with views stretching out toward the sea and river. Pack a picnic or grab something from the cafe, which is decent enough that it’s worth the trip on its own. Strollers and younger kids are fine here too, and there’s parking plus a baby changing station so you’re not roughing it. It’s one of those spots that works whether you want a proper workout or just somewhere to take the kids on a Sunday afternoon.
