Jane Armstrong Park

Locals round here know Jane Armstrong Park as one of the more reliable spots in Bishop Auckland for an afternoon out with the kids. The enclosed play area is a proper bonus — you can actually relax a bit rather than spending the whole time doing headcounts. Swings and slides covered, open grass field for a kick-about, and parking sorted, so it ticks most of the boxes without any faff. It’s kept in decent shape too, which isn’t something you can say about every park in the area.
