They’ve done a proper job with this one since the rebuild — it’s one of those playgrounds where you actually have to drag the kids away. The giant twisted slide is the obvious draw, but there’s enough going on between the zipline, climbing frames, and musical equipment that different ages can all find something to get stuck into. Younger ones get their own fenced-off area, which parents tend to appreciate. It’s kept in good nick too, which isn’t always a given around here. Parking on site and just a short walk from the town centre makes it an easy stop rather than a whole-day expedition.
