Gainborough Park Play Ground

Locals round here know Gainborough Park is one of the better spots in Bury St Edmunds for just letting the kids run wild for a few hours. The playground has slides, swings, a climbing structure, and a zipline — that last one always draws a crowd. Beyond the play area, there’s a proper soccer field, a walking path, and loads of open grass, so it works just as well for a kickaround or a dog walk as it does for younger kids. Parking’s available, which makes life easier if you’re coming with the whole family in tow.
