If you live in Carterton and want one place that covers pretty much everything, this is it. The sports hall and basketball court get decent use from locals, and the pool has sections that work well for younger kids — not just serious swimmers. Gym’s solid, changing rooms are kept cleaner than you’d expect for a busy public centre, which matters more than people admit. Parking on-site can fill up fast during peak hours, but there’s usually something nearby if you’re patient. Staff are genuinely friendly here, which isn’t always a given with council-run facilities.
