Cutsyke Play Forest

If you’re local to Castleford and haven’t been to Cutsyke Play Forest yet, you’re missing a decent spot that most people seem to walk straight past. It’s geared more towards older kids and teens than the usual toddler-friendly setups — the climbing structure actually gives them something to work with, and there’s a good open grass field if they just want to run about. Benches and parking make it easy enough for parents to settle in while the kids do their thing. Fair warning though, litter can be an issue, which is a shame because the place has real potential. Catch it on a quiet day and it’s genuinely one of those spots that rewards you for knowing about it.
