Cherry Lane Adventure Playground

Honestly, for a free playground, Cherry Lane packs in more than you’d expect — zipline, climbing frames, slides, merry-go-round, sandbox, and even a water feature, all without spending a penny. The sports side is decent too, with a basketball court, soccer field, and bike track that keep older kids occupied while the little ones do their thing in the toddler areas. Fair warning though, some of the kit is looking a bit tired these days, so don’t go expecting pristine equipment. What it lacks in polish it makes up for in sheer space — there’s open grass stretching out everywhere, plenty of shade trees, picnic tables, and free parking right there, which makes it genuinely easy for a full family day out. Good spot for kids aged 2 right through to the older ones who still want somewhere to burn energy.
