Marine Gardens Outdoor Playground

Right on the seafront in Fleetwood, this playground gets a solid amount of use from local families who appreciate how close it sits to the beach — you can practically smell the salt air while the kids are on the swings. There’s a decent spread of equipment, slides, a seesaw, merry-go-round, and a water feature that the little ones absolutely love on warmer days. The football pitch and open grass give older kids room to burn off energy while parents keep an eye on things from the picnic tables, which is genuinely handy. Fair warning though — a few bits are showing their age and could do with some attention, so it’s worth checking before you go if you’ve got very young ones. Still, for a free afternoon out with the beach a stone’s throw away, you’d struggle to find better in this part of town.
