Stroud Recreation Ground

Freshwater’s got a solid little rec ground here, and the zipline alone makes it worth the trip for most kids. There’s a good mix of equipment — swings, slides, a climbing structure, merry go round — so different ages tend to find something to get stuck into. Younger ones are well catered for with an enclosed play area, which is a relief if you’ve got a bolter on your hands. The open grass field gives older kids somewhere to burn off whatever energy’s left, and the outdoor gym means parents aren’t just standing around watching.
